It is high time NCDs addressed in the era of sustainable development. Therefore this means improvements transformation of advocacy efforts. NCDs demand a sustainable advocacy to ensure health remains central to national governments’ priorities, and tangible wins are secured for NCD prevention and control. Thus advocacy in these regard recognizes NCDs as both an economic and a social justice issue, and also extends beyond health. This means joining forces with partners across a range of sectors that make an impact on NCDs, such as agriculture, finance, cities, gender and environment.
ACANCODE’s advocacy seek to ensure that WHO and UN commitments to improve the lives of people with NCDs and those at risk are implemented at regional, national and community level.
